Student often miss sending four scores to each Service Academy at no cost!

Each year, students miss valuable opportunities to send their SAT and ACT results to the US service academies or ROTC scholarship programs. Save yourself some money and find out how to send these 'free' submissions!
Each organization, ACT.org and College Board, supports sending four-free score deliveries to different schools, including the U.S. service academies and ROTC scholarships. Typically, sending scores later will cost a student $15 per school. That amount quickly adds up!
Often, students are concerned about sending scores without knowing the results. In other words, what if I scored poorly, or dropped back from my 650 math score to a 570? I understand your concern; however, recall that all five SAs superscore along with Army and Naval ROTC scholarships. That means that each group will only 'use' your best component scores. If you score poorly, or lower than your 'last' scores, the SAs and ROTC admissions teams will ignore them. Thus, there is no penalty in taking advantage of your 'free deliveries.' Note that the AFROTC scholarship does not superscore ACT or SAT results.
Thus, take advantage of the savings and send those scores! Let's outline the steps to follow for both the SAT and the ACT to allow you to benefit from the four-free deliveries.
SAT
You can send up to four free SAT scores with each registration if you designate your score recipients anytime from registering up to nine days after your test date. If you take the SAT during the week at your school, you must choose your free score deliveries during your exam setup or within three days after testing.
Instructions for Weekend Tests:
Sign in to your College Board Account while registering for the SAT or through your dashboard afterward.
Navigate to the "score sends section" and search for the SAs or ROTC scholarship programs by name or their specific code.
Select up to four SAs/ROTC programs to receive your scores at no charge. You have until nine days after your test date to edit or add recipients at no cost.
Instructions for In-School (SAT School Day) Tests:
Use your sign-in ticket to sign in to the Bluebook App.
Go to "Your Tests > Past," find your current test, and click "SAT Score Sends."
Select your score recipients within three days after taking the exam.
ACT
You can send your ACT scores to up to four colleges or scholarship agencies for free during registration or up until the Thursday following your test date. To do this, sign in to your MyACT account and enter the institution codes when prompted during the test registration process.
If you qualified for an ACT Fee Waiver, your benefits extend beyond registration. Students testing with a fee waiver can send free score reports to up to six college choices (including the SAs and ROTC programs) during registration, and request unlimited additional regular score reports for free at any later date.
The SAT and ACT allow students to send scores at no cost to both the US service academies or ROTC scholarship programs. It is simple! Follow the directions, and you will take advantage of some real savings!
