No More Military Academy CFA Videos

This cycle, 2025-26, will be the first year with this BIG change!
The U.S. Military Academy has dropped the application requirement for Candidate Fitness Assessment pull-ups videos. Last year, the school did the same for push-ups.

During a recent USMA local briefing, the Regional Commander for the Southeast Region, Captain Wubbolt, confirmed the removal of the requirement. West Point was the only U.S. service academy to require the videos over the years. The logistics were difficult to administer and often students had to resubmit their videos multiple times.
What does this mean for you as a USMA candidate? The bottomline remains the same -- prepare for and perform well on the Candidate Fitness Assessment!
I emphasize to all of my students that the CFA is not an 'end,' but the start of a commitment to physical fitness as a military officer candidate. Your workout routines must be 'routine' and continue throughout the school year and summer as you prepare to arrive at the Academy, or on the college campus, ready to meet the fitness requirements for any of the service academies or ROTC.
