From Cadet to Secretary of the Air Force!

Updated: Mar 5, 2020

The new Secretary of the Air Force - AFA Class of '82

Congratulations to my classmate, Heather Wilson, who was just sworn in as the 24th Secretary of the Air Force. It wasn't that long ago (really!) when we entered the Academy as part of the Class of 1982.

All of us are proud of Heather and expect great things to happen over the next few years as she leads the AF along with the Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. David Goldfein, who was also part of the entering class of 1982 and then graduated in 1983 from the Air Force Academy.

Both Heather and David illustrate the unique opportunities available as part of the Air Force Academy's (or other service academies') experience. Amazing paths may be followed leading to some spectacular points along the way!

More information is available here with pictures and details from the swearing-in ceremony.
