Service Academy Admissions Coaching

YOUR GOALS

Do you desire to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis or the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs?  If so, then you may already recognize the extensive application effort involved with each of the service academies.

Many resources are available online, but often personal coaching is the difference between just applying and winning an appointment.

I provide hands-on coaching for students desiring to earn an appointment.  As an AFA graduate, former AFA faculty member and former AF Admissions Liaison Director, I provide valuable counseling, coaching and direction for applicants for any of the U.S. service academies.

SERVICES
  • Tailored planning to allow you to prepare and execute a successful admissions plan as a high school junior, senior, freshman, sophomore or college freshman.

  • Personal assistance to prepare you for the different components of the application process, including interview preparation along with application completion advice and cadence.

  • One-on-one coaching sessions to prepare written essays, practice in-person interviews and address fitness and leadership requirements.

  • Overall qualification development that the evaluation boards look for in ideal candidates and future officers.

  • Personal attention – call or text me on short notice when something comes up!

About Me

Here is why I’m an ideal Academy admissions coach for you:

  • I know the ‘ins and outs’ of the admissions process, as I was an AF Admissions Liaison Officer for 12 years, including more than four years as the ALO Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. I gained enormous experience from participating first hand in the selection process.

  • I know the academic environment at the Academies very well, and I know what it takes to succeed in the classroom at a service academy, as I was an Associate Professor of Physics at the US Air Force Academy for three years.

  • I know the life of a cadet, as I am an AFA graduate. I was a Squadron Commander and graduated in the Top 25% of my class with Military Honors.

  • What’s more, I know the true value of the path that you desire to follow, and what it takes to follow that path successfully. The AFA Department of Physics sponsored me to Georgia Tech to earn my Masters Degree. I was paid my full salary while I was at Tech and ‘pinned on’ Captain during my time there. No other company in the world invests in an individual more than the US military services!

  • As an ALO, I worked with literally 100’s of young people who wanted to attend the AF Academy. More than two dozen were admitted and graduated. Since 2017, as an admissions coach, my students (from all corners of the country and the world) have earned more than 60 service academy appointments and ROTC scholarships.

I can do the same for you. As your admissions coach, we will plan and prepare for the long application process. I will ensure that you keep the proper cadence and execute on your personalized plan created to provide a successful path to the Academy and a career in the service of your choice!

I now live in Portland, Oregon, with my wife, Kim, and my two daughters.  I look forward to working with you on your journey to one of the U.S. service academies.
